Right Angle Honored with Davey Award
LAFAYETTE, LA – Right Angle was honored with a Davey Award for its design of the Bayou Vermilion District website.
While Bayou Vermilion District is best known for the beloved living history museum and folklife park Vermilionville, they challenged Right Angle to create a cohesive website incorporating their environmental efforts as well. Since 1984, the organization has worked to beautify, conserve, and manage sites along the Vermilion, ensuring the preservation and enhancement of the river for generations to come. The resulting website earned the advertising and branding agency a Silver Davey award.Established in order to honor the achievements of “Creative Davids” in an industry of Goliaths, the Davey Awards are judged by the International Academy of the Visual Arts, an invitation-only body consisting of top-tier professionals from acclaimed media, advertising, and marketing firms. IAVA members include executives from Condé Nast, Disney, GE, Microsoft, Yahoo!, MTV and more. Entries are judged on their merits based on a standard of excellence as determined by the IAVA.
“It is a more comprehensive website with many components,” says owner/president Cheryl Taylor Bowie, “and the flexibility that we built into it is giving them a tool that will last for many years.”
